Tropwind North is a local trading company registered in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG), based in Erbil. Formed in 2013 to service the needs of international energy companies operating in the Middle East, especially in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

Tropwind North sources equipment for the energy sector and is experienced in dealing with customers who may not have a completely detailed specification of their requirements.

By communicating clearly and frequently with specifiers and buyers during the life cycle of procurement — from initial specification of a project, to the aftermarket of stock and critical spare parts and service requirements — Tropwind ensures that a long and trusting relationship develops with customers.

Formal quotation for requirements and subsequent order-taking for delivery conforms to a strict process, repeated thousands of times. The result is a predictable performance second to none in delivering goods and services fit for purpose with the lowest total cost of ownership to the customer.

Tropwind has procured and shipped products from manufacturers and distributors in an increasing number of countries of origin. The after-market for engineering equipment and spare parts requires precise knowledge of the country and plant of original manufacture — ensuring parts are either OEM or fit-for-engineering substitution. When terms of trade of a major vendor are inconsistent with those of a customer, Tropwind agrees terms with both parties, enabling transactions which conform to the requirements of all.
